The AAI Dashboard is an open online platform that displays real-time air quality data for Almaty.
It allows users to view pollution levels on an interactive map, compare districts, track changes over the past years, and analyze seasonal dynamics.
The dashboard provides:
– current PM2.5 and NO₂ readings with color indicators for pollution levels;
– a “Clean Days” calendar, showing how many days per year the air was safe to breathe;
– a district ranking by air quality;
– a “cigarette equivalent” — a visual reference for understanding exposure levels;
– detailed analytics and graphs for deeper data exploration.
The AAI Dashboard aggregates information from IQAir international sensors, Kazhydromet stations, and independent monitoring devices.
The platform is useful for residents, researchers, journalists, environmentalists, and businesses seeking to understand the real ecological situation in the city.
